Asphalt Paving in Sterling, VA

Premium Asphalt Paving & Sealcoating Specialists in Sterling, VA

Sterling’s established residential neighborhoods see decades of daily driveway use, and we treat that wear with the same seriousness as a freight lot. We handle new driveway installations, full resurfacing, and professional overlays for older pavement, along with the sealcoating and crack-filling maintenance that keeps a Sterling driveway performing well past its expected lifespan.

We apply that same discipline to Sterling’s industrial and retail properties. Testa Asphalt Paving provides expert commercial parking lot installation, heavy-duty mill and overlay, and industrial-grade sealcoating across Sterling, VA. Our local paving crews specialize in hot-mix blacktop engineering, base stabilization, and routine pavement maintenance serving intense industrial parks, retail centers, and data center complexes along Route 28, Route 7, and the Sterling town center corridor. Whether paving high-axle freight loading zones or performing precision line striping, crack filling, and pothole repair, we build resilient pavement systems designed for maximum lifetime performance.

Sterling, VA Success Story

Asphalt Resurfacing to Restore High-Use Residential Driveway

Testa Asphalt Paving, Inc. resurfaced a residential driveway in Sterling that had experienced heavy daily use and surface fatigue from years of commuting traffic.

Project Snapshot
Location: Sterling, VA
Property Type: Residential
Services Provided: Asphalt Resurfacing
Surface Type: Asphalt Driveway
Timeline: 1 Day

Challenges
Frequent vehicle traffic caused surface wear, shallow depressions, and visible cracking that allowed water to sit after storms.

Solution
Testa repaired worn areas, corrected minor surface irregularities, and applied a resurfacing layer to restore smoothness and protect the existing base.

Results
The driveway now handles daily traffic more evenly and sheds water effectively, reducing future deterioration.

“It feels smoother pulling in every day, and the water finally runs off instead of pooling.”

He helped me with drawings needed for HOA approval and once approved, he got me scheduled in and they completed all the work surprisingly fast and did a great job! I appreciated the level of detail especially as they were aware of potential puddling at the end of the driveway so now it won’t puddle at the bottom. Thanks for the great work Jim!!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Testa paved my driveway very professionally. I showed them quotes from other contractors and they cheerfully beat every price. They just sealcoated my driveway after two years, and the lady who did it was precise. I have white garage doors and she was very careful to miss them and to miss spraying my front lawn. I very highly recommend this paving contractor.

Mr. Testa explained very clearly the process of the work, the different types of work and material, and his recommendations based on the situation of our driveway. Because he has a project nearby he gave me a good price and 3 days after my first call to him, it was done!

The team was super efficient, I was impressive and it was fun watching them working together, they obviously know each other well, and within 2 hours of time, my near 1000sf driveway was brand new and looks great vs the old one. See the pictures below.

Mr. Testa is a proud man of his team and his equipments, he showed me the video and pictures of them when we met first time for the estimate.

I highly recommend Mr. Testa and his team.

Update - August 2026 - time for a maintenance sealing to keep the driveway fresh. Called Nina Testa and she and her crew came out the next day and topped off the driveway - looks brand new again.

*******

We finally made the decision to dig up the old driveway and replace it with a fresh one. After talking to a few companies - we went with Testa. Testa is a family business and Vito was our contact. He coordinated with us and showed up on time as promised. He had serious heavy equipment - a large crew - AND HIS DAD. They came prepared for business. And no one was hanging around looking for something to do. Everyone had a role to play and did their job.

The dig-out was a bigger than most jobs - as the previous owners had laid brick into the ground bordering each side of the original asphalt. While this may have looked nice the first day it was installed, it was quickly overgrown with grass - and never served its purpose. So not only was the old driveway hauled away - but also a huge pile of bricks!

The results speak for themselves. My wife documented the process and you can see for yourself the beginning, middle and end. We look forward to using this driveway for many years to come. With the right maintenance, it should last a long time - and since Vito is a young guy - we'll call him back at that time.
